At 2:11 p.m., officers responded to a crash at the intersection of County Route 519 and County Route 620 in White Township, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
A Nissan Rouge was traveling south on County Road 519 approaching the intersection of County Road 620, Lebron said. A Dodge Ram was traveling north on County Road 620 approaching the intersection of County Road 519, Lebron said.
At the intersection, the Nissan failed to stop at the stop sign and entered County Road 620 subsequently colliding with the Dodge, Lebron said. As a result of the crash, the driver of the Nissan, Linda McDonnell, sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem, Lebron said.
McConnell later succumbed to her injuries, Lebron said. The driver of the Dodge sustained minor injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
